  • About Project
  • The park pod was created by carving out spaces in the cube. A combination of straight and radial cuts designed spaces. The cube consists of a 1-person space, 4-person space, 6-person space and a sleeping area. The space is carefully disturbed, considering the location and lighting in the designated area.
  • Project Description
  • The pods are filled with greenery through planters that act as railings and grass-patterned floorings. The park pod has an open and welcoming entry, and an exit on the other end is small and narrow, creating a feeling that is the opposite of welcome.

The entry in the park pod is narrow with slanting walls that lead to a four-person lounge area. The space is located right at the entrance, which acts as a quick stop. The path leads to the sleeping area next to the tunnel, which is private with very minimal lighting. The tunnel takes people to the next level and gives a sense of compressed feeling that leads to an open platform.

The one-person space is located in an area that allows the person to look and hear the people walking into the six-person space, creating tension between the six-person and one-person space. The railing with coloured film allows for the activation of different colors throughout the day.
