- This project is a technical material study that explores the intersection of structural tension and material contrast. Constructed from 3/8" x 3/8" steel tubing, wooden sheets, and a patina copper sheet, the piece utilizes a tensegrity-inspired geometry where two triangular frames are suspended in a state of perpetual balance. The assembly process integrates industrial fabrication techniques, including welding, mechanical fastening with eyelet hooks, and epoxy resin, to create a functional surface that appears to float.
The aesthetic is defined by its finish, featuring a chemical patina on the copper top that contrasts against the black paint of the rigid steel skeleton. Every element,is calibrated to highlight the dialogue between heavy architectural mass and delicate, high-tension support.
